Though this traditional story about a defiantly nontraditional woman doesn't always soar, it fits Hilary Swank, its producer/star, like a jumpsuit. She and Nair thrill to the life of this American who broke records, hearts, and boundaries.

Bright Star shines brightly indeed, not only on the strength of a couple of powerhouse performances, but also as a look back at a time when poets were rock stars, with all the skinny British attitude that implies.

LOVE THE BEAST

FEATURING: Eric Bana, Jeremy Clarkson,

Eric Bana casts himself in his perfect role: exploring the meaning of a 25-year-long relationship with his first car, "The Beast", and ultimately the importance of the friendships that occur through common passion. Filmed over 2 years, we follow Eric on an emotional journey from inside the race car to the surreal world of the red carpet as Eric considers the importance of family, friends and what it means to keep your dreams alive. Genre: Documentary, Sport
Director:
Eric Bana
Producers: Eric Bana, Matt Hill, Peter Hill
Runtime: 89 Minutes
Rating: NR
Versions: Theatrical

Bana's easygoing manner and a lingering sense of nostalgia build a mellow mood overall, while shrewd editing by Conor O'Neill and a rocking Aussie soundtrack pump up the volume on the race sequences.
Megan Lehmann
Hollywood Reporter

Bana may not be a star exactly swaddled in charisma, but what mystique he did have is disassembled as comprehensively as that coupe's innards.
Catherine Shoard
