Sea Movies offers several licenses to ships, and most ships need more than one license, depending upon how they exhibit content.
Film Single Title License, Television Program License
Title-by-title licenses are grated to ships that exhibit films and television programming to passengers in-cabin, in theaters, and on screens throughout the ships at no additional charge to passengers.
Commercial Film Title License, Commercial Television Program License
Similar to Film and Television Single Title and Program Licenses, Commercial Licenses are provided to ships that exhibit content to passengers via Pay TV, theaters which require ticket purchases and other instances where revenue is derived from exhibitions.
DVD Library License
If a ship supplies DVDs to passengers to view individually via DVD players or portable devices (usually this is via a DVD library), a DVD Library License is sometimes required. Sea Movies offers different options for ships that need a DVD Library License depending upon whether the ship's library is self-service or concierge (DVDs are hand delivered to passengers after they order via phone, interactive TV or reservation list), if there is any charge to passengers for rentals, and/or if the ship promotes the library to passengers. DVD Library Licenses cover one year from February 1-January 31.
